New Years Day

New Years date all the way to the Mesopotamian tribe in Iraq where they believed on their calender that brought about new life and starting over. The Mesopotamian believed that every 12 months a new year had begun and that tradition has carried on. They decided on January because that was when season began to turn turn marking the 6 month period. Romans also had some work in this holiday dedicating this holiday to the God Janus who opened up gates and doorways which means new beginnings. They too declared January as the first month of the New Year also dedicating the month to Julius Caesar to honor his death.

New Years Day is always on January 1st and it celebrates the beginning of a new year and is also celebrated as a national holiday. In New York City, New Years is celebrated by the ball drop in Times Square where music, drinking, eating, and well kissing. What better way to start off the New Year with a big smooch to your wife, girlfriend, or friend. New Years is filled with mostly drinking and music because the combo of two is the best to have fun and fun is always good. Many people also start making resolutions where they decide to start something new for the new year either eating healthy quitting ciggaretts, drinking, eating junk food or even going to the gym. Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is on November 27th and is always on a Thursday. My family celebrates thanksgiving by by hosting a dinner at my house where my aunt and my cousin comes over to feast with us, also close family friends come to celebrate too. On thanksgiving day we like to play football in our closest park which is M street Park. There is no football field so we play where the two softball fields meet. after that we go home to enjoy watching a real football game which this year our favorite game was Lions vs Bears because of my Aunt likes the blue lion on the helmet. As we watch we also sip on hot cider and continue to wait for the Thanksgiving dinner. At the feast we host my mom made a 23 lb butterball turkey, mashed potatoes, string beans, cabbage balls, baby carrots, peas, stuffing, gravy, squash, and to top it all off wheat buns. I hope you all enjoyed your Turkey Day!!!!!!!!!!

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Official Trailer HD

Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 1

This past Friday I saw the movie Hunger Games Mockingjay part 1 with my friend on November 21, 2014 which was also the release date. The movie starts off with a women named Katniss Everdeen who moved to district 13 after the capital destroyed he home district 12. In the previous movie Hunger Games Catching Fire Katniss destroys the globe around their Hung Games arena with a electric arrow that blows up the whole arena. What she doesn't realize after her comma that her incident caused a revolt on the capital. The capital is now enforcing extra laboring hours on the citizens but the citizens fight back against the capital for what is right and what is their right as a human.

The overall review of the movie on my part was great but there was so much talk with only little expectation met to my standards but on a cold Friday night I had nothing else to do. I sure do hope that part 2 will have a lot of action and be abkle to meet my standards

Dark Web

The dark web is a part of the world wide web that remains anonymous where you can remain undetectable. The things that people like me and you can do and buy without it being traced back to me is scary. This poses a major threat because it allows for illegal and hazardous items that can cause terrorism. The Government also cant do anything about the Dark Web because it is so secret, so the only thing we can do is keep our fingers crossed. Another threat we faced with the Dark Web is the selling of illegal narcotics that can be sold all over. This is all possible by the use of bit coins which is internet money which can be transferred by using your log in account in the system. These bit coins cant be refunded or traced back to the users account. This is the scariest thing that I have personally encountered because the thought of a person buying what ever they want and do what ever they want with it scares me honestly. The only thing we can rely on is the customer's good human nature to act in a civilized ways.

V for Vendetta

"Remember, Remember the 5th of November"

The movie V for Vendetta we watched during class is about a lone ranger who is out for revenge. A man who was a test subject for a biological weapon such as a disease who survived and was not the same. St. Mary's was where he was held in cell #5 or V. There was an horrible accident that blew up the plantation and allowing him to escape . The man took upon wearing a hat, mask, and cape. His mission was to kill all those who took act in this biological idea, and he succeeded. The other was to send a message to the British government and the people of England. V planned for an explosion on the parliament on November 5th but left it in the hands of his side kick Evie. V saved her life one day when she was about to get mugged and she returned the favor when V was held at gunpoint by an officer and she pepper sprayed the officer allowing V to escape. From that point on V began his mission to kill all who took act in St. Mary's. Evie realized why V was doing all this, at first she didn't agree but soon she began to think and act like V and sent the train on its way way to finish off V's mission.

I've been noticing people tend fall in love with a conspiracy once they are particularly involved or endangered by it. It reminds me of Ebola which is the virus outbreak that is now in United states where it once developed in Africa. When Ebola was in Africa no one cared everyone ignored the helpless needs and treatment the Africans needed. Everyone in the United States didn't care about Ebola up until now where Ebola has reached the U.S.A and now everyone is so concerned about their own lives and everyone wants to help now

The difference between Propaganda and Conspiracy is propaganda is the telling or warning of a conspiracy to soon come. Propaganda also is the act of encouraging of a conspiracy the point of this is to gain support from the people to make this conspiracy happen or to even raise awareness. In my opinion conspiracy is nothing with out propaganda because there is no information on the happening and there are no rumors to spread the idea around.

In my opinion V is a hero not a villain, he is for all about revenge but it doesn't only benefit him as it benefits others. V is thought to be a terrorist causing havic on the people and everyone around him but surprisingly the people aren't scared or worried about V they are interested in what he stands for.

Conspiracy theory was used by the government to scare or worry the people of England, also conspiracy theory was used to provoke the people to help search and inform the government of the location of the terrorist. The government also used the tactic of using the media to trick the people into believing everything was alright. The media was also used to clear the history of V to maintain the people from favoring V's idea.

Christmas

Christmas is the best holiday in my opinion, and I am sure that many others will agree. Christmas is the so called day that Jesus Christ our savior was born. Now we all know Jesus was in March. It is said that the church said Jesus' birthday was in December because it is the darkest time so Jesus' being the light of our world, will light us through the darkest time with his life. Christmas is celebrated on December 25 where gifts are given to one another to symbolize the gifts given to Jesus from the 3 wise men. The myth behind Christmas is a jolly man named St. Nicholas or to us Santa Clause. Santa Clause lives in the North Pole who has little elves who live with him who make the toys, but sooner or later we find out the depressing truth. Christmas is a time of happiness and love where we spend the day with our family and friends and share gifts. So by far Christmas is the best holiday

My Friday

This weekend I played football in South Boston, MA with my good friends Cameron, Brendan, Michael(s), Patrick, Matt, James and Sean. My team won of course 48-37 with my outstanding performance as a big man. After we played football we all got dinner at our favorite pizza shop "Village Pizza" where we all enjoyed hot subs. Many of us afterwards headed up to our local Park where we cooled off and enjoyed a few good laughs. Around 10:30 where the night came to hard chill we all headed home. To me it was a successful Friday where we plan to do it again this week.
